Overview of the Chef Academy Series
Chef Academy is a reality TV series on Bravo that follows award-winning chef Jean Christophe Novelli. The chef starts a training program and a culinary institute to train professional chefs. The students are aspiring chefs who complete culinary assignments and are assessed weekly with cooking tests. Students who fail three cooking tests are expelled from the academy. However, two students failed three tests, but Jean Novelli gave them another chance.

Chef Academy ran for one season with a total of nine episodes.
Season 1
- E1 – Coming to America – Chef Novelli, his executive chef, Steven Kitchen, and his pregnant fiancée, Michelle, move from London to LA to start a new culinary school. He already had a successful school in Europe. The team interviews new potential students by putting them through cooking tasks. They choose nine students for their first class. In the first class, they cook their signature dish. If anyone fails three tests, they are dismissed from the cooking school.
- E2 – Bitter Sweet – First, the students learn about desserts. Later, the students must recreate one of the desserts they learned about. If they pass the test, they earn the right to attend the house party. Next, the aspiring chefs learn about purchasing fresh produce at a local farmer’s market. Later, a member of the team reveals a shocking secret.
